DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY, AS A CRISIS NORM

The syntax, content & context, of the recent decision of the federal high court, presided by justice john abutu, regarding the powers & functions of the vice president, when operating in the absence of his principal, who is the president, goes against the acceptable norm, because under the nigerian constitution, a vice president does not deputise for president, but rather assist the president, thus to avail that a vice president, can act on behalf of the president, presupposes that the president & vice president, shares their powers & functions under the law, thus the vice president, also draw his powers, from the powers of the president, however, these position is alien to nigerian norm, law & constitution.
